• When I get tired of the endless crowds of visitors and tourists who throng the most popular spots, I often start to wander into less frequented areas of the city; as for a spell, alleys turn suddenly empty and the only sound you can hear comes from your own steps.
Perhaps for this reason my senses become more alert and, without realizing it, I begin to notice things that otherwise I might not fully appreciate, as the bright stain of color of this beautiful hydrangea amid the green of a small garden in "sestiere" of S. Croce.
